Make something!
When I am not hanging out with my wife and my two children, I make it a point to always be making something. I'm either working on a film, or recording music, painting, or wrenching on one of my motorcycles. Or I am producing a web series episode with my team. I try to teach my kids that it is better to create than consume, that developing and nurturing one’s imagination is a necessary virtue, that making one thing is better than buying many things, and that cultivating your spirit takes priority over growing your bank account.
